LSZ or lysergic acid 2,4-dimethylazetidide, also known as Lambda is a psychedelic drug of the lysergamide class, developed as a replacement for LSD.

LSZ was first synthesized in the early 2000s by David E. Nichols at Purdue University as a potent analogue of LSD, but the drug did not gain popularity until after 2012 as a designer drug.
The structure of LSZ contains a bicyclic hexahydroindole fused to lysergic acid, an amide group is linked in quinoline carbon 8, and LSZ is replaced on carbon 6 by a methyl group. Around the azetidine ring the (S, S)-(+) isomer is more active than LSZ, making it more effective.
Effects. LSZ is a 5-HT2A agonist, is not addictive, but the toxicity of the drug at high doses is not fully understood, as the drug is more potent than LSD.
LSZ is banned for sale in Denmark, Latvia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Turkey.
